I love the Fauve Style of painting with it’s bright bold colors. I wanted to capture that feeling in this piece. I also tried something new when it came to the appliquéd buildings and trees. I drew them first on paper and colored them with colored pencils Then I scanned them into my computer and printed them out on fabric I really liked the look I achieved.
